The Econ Dev: Shifting Inward

The Econ Dev: Shifting Inward

When I started The Econ Dev, I intended it to be a space where I could share my thoughts and insights on changes in the economic and business landscape that I had been observing for years. As a Muslim with familiarity with several economic schools of thought and an interest in diverse cultures worldwide, I believed this platform could offer a unique perspective, making the complex subject of economic development more accessible to a broader audience while expanding how we view development.

I still find value in that approach, but for now, The Econ Dev is shifting inward. Since launching the blog, I’ve continued exploring macroeconomic topics such as understanding the role of Central Banks, and Food Sovereignty. However, I have recently moved away from focusing on technical work (as an engineer) and publishable writings about economic subjects.

What does the future hold for The Econ Dev?

A few years ago, I created and launched a macOS/iOS app called VFNotes to help organize my study and research and in recent months I’ve been reconnecting with my artistic and creative roots. Given my diverse interest and background ranging from artist, musician, contractor, software engineer and now business owner, I have decided to focus more on sharing the lessons and strategies I’ve learned from navigating challenging situations in both personal and professional endeavors.

In future post I'll elaborate on how all of those areas are connected but for now my hope is that you'll find these post interesting, interesting and insightful.
